What’s the Freebie?
Parents and kids cooking together can be a rewarding and delicious experience! That’s why the Fit4Allkids program at All Children’s Hospital offers FREE family cooking classes several times a year. These classes are designed for children age 8 and older, and at least one parent/adult must participate along with them. During each 5-week session, families learn about healthy foods and basic culinary skills, while gaining confidence in the kitchen. The goal of these classes is to:
— Learn about foods we eat (and maybe about some foods we don’t eat, but should)
— Learn the skills necessary to create quick, delicious and nutritious meals
— Learn how to make healthy food choices
Sponsored by Kohl’s Department Stores, the classes are FREE to all families, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. If you are interested in participating, winter sessions will start in January (dates to be announced soon). To learn more or to register, please contact (727) 767-6923.
