What’s Doing?
Community Learning Center will be hosting this fun family event where they will distribute hundreds of gently used books (donated by families and organizations) to local children in order to encourage them to read. At this FREE Books for Kids event, there will also be snacks, crafts and theatrical storytelling to entertain the children. Every child may choose up to five books to take home.

What’s Doing?
The Rays, the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society, the Taylor Hooton Foundation, and Major League Baseball Charities will present PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) for kids age 7-17 and their parents. This hands-on clinic is designed to educate kids about healthy living, exercise and activity, and the dangers of steroids.

A Rays player will make an appearance during the event, and each participant is automatically registered to win tickets to a Rays game.

What’s Doing?
This is a special meet-and-greet with the Madagascar characters from Busch Gardens’ new show Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation. The characters will be available between 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; however, please keep in mind that they will take 30-minute breaks every 30 minutes, and space is limited.

Learn more about the new Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation live musical show at Busch Gardens and watch a clip from the movie. There will also be a chance to meet the characters and take photos with them as part of each scheduled performance in the Stanleyville Theater at Busch Gardens Tampa. The show will extend beyond the theater during its première weekend — May 18 & 19 — with dancing and DJs in Stanleyville, Gwazi and Cheetah Hunt plazas.
