What’s the Freebie?
Each year, the U.S. National park Service offers fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees. The 2012 dates are:
— January 14-16
— April 21-29
— June 9
— September 29
— November 10-12
However, many of the 397 national parks NEVER charge an entrance fee, so you can enjoy a fun, FREE family day at the park every day!
NOTE: This ree waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
