Three Wishes on a Magic Fish (7-7:45 p.m.; Temple Terrace Public Library) Listen to the tale of a Japanese fisherman who catches a magical fish. He is granted three wishes in return for letting the fish go free. The fisherman and his wife think they will always be happy once their wishes are granted – but sometimes what we wish for is not what we need. What’s Doing?
This is a 6-week workshop focusing on key elements of writing fiction, non-fiction, short stories and blogs. If your teen (age 12-18) is an aspiring writer, get them involved in this workshop where they can experiment with words and find their voice.

Our first three sessions will focus on fiction, from plot development to making your characters come alive. The last three classes will include blogging, writing for magazines, and how to sell your work with a great query letter.
