What’s Doing?
New Hope Auto & Truck Services hosts this special hands-on event to help women and teens learn the basics of what makes your car operate efficiently, what you can do if your care breaks down, and how to keep from getting ripped off when you haul it in for repairs.

This is a hands-on clinic, so come prepared to get your hands dirty while you get familiar with what’s under the hood of your car. The class will cover general maintenance such as:
- Checking Fluids
- Belts
- Hoses and Tires
- Vehicles’ scheduled maintenance
- Keeping a maintenance log

Half of the class time is in the classroom, while the other half is spent looking at each participants vehicle. Handouts are provided by the National Car Care Council.

St. Petersburg, Florida-Civitan Club hosts the 63rd Annual Dennis Crenshaw Memorial Fish-a-Thon on Lake Jorgensen (the lake behind the Main Library) for youth, teens and adults. Enjoy the morning with hundreds of young fishermen and fellow Civitans. Fishing takes place in nine 15-minute fishing periods ending with judging for prizes in age-appropriate groups. Fishing poles and bait provided (NOTE: No personal fishing equipment allowed).
