What’s Doing?
The Humane Society of Pinellas is offering Pick-What-You-Pay pet adoption during this special two-day adopt-a-thon event to kick-off the Pick Me! Project. The Pick Me! Project is HSP’s effort in the 2013 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, where the shelter is competing with 50 animal shelters nationwide in the hopes of winning $100,000 by adopting out more dogs and cats this June, July, and August than ever before. This weekend, 200 cats and 150 dogs will be looking for new forever homes.

In addition to pet adoptions, the event will also include family fun such as Kitty and Puppy Love stations, an Ask-A-Trainer booth, face painting, mascots and more.

The weekend will begin Friday evening with a Pick Me! Project Preview Party and ribbon-cutting from 5-7 p.m. Get first dibs and pick your pet on Friday, then head back Saturday to adopt. (NOTE: The shelter will be closed Friday, except for the Preview Party.)
