We spend a great deal of time compiling information on family-friendly, kid-friendly events happening around the Bay area. We take this site very seriously. We are very proud of it, and we love it that YOU love it! It makes us feel great when we see Mom’s groups using the information on our blog to get together with friends for fun times, and we love to hear from a Mom or Dad who says they can’t make it through a weekend without consulting our site to see what’s happening. We wish you all many happy memories with your kids!
That said, there is a line between using the information we provide, and plagiarizing our site.
A lot of hard work and time goes into creating the content of this blog. Please be thoughtful of our time and effort. Before you copy our posts into your own blog or site, please consider the following:
We respectfully request that you …
— DO enjoy our site, but please refrain from republishing entire posts or pages unless you get our permission first. (We’re not unreasonable Moms, and we realize that we are merely re-packaging public information. Most likely, we can reach an agreement for use that is mutually beneficial to us both, so please ask. It’s only polite.)
— DO take the time to come up with your own pictures, rather than republishing our personal pictures. This is our site, and sometimes we share photos of our own families at events around town with our readers. We ask that you do not copy these photos into your site.
— DO take the time to remove the notes and disclaimers that we’ve added due to personal concerns we wanted to share with our readers about a particular event. If you feel a note is required, please take the time to pen it in your own words.
— DO include a kudos to What’s Doing? Tampa Bay when you get an event from us, and provide a link back to our site … EVERY TIME.
To fellow Mom-bloggers: We are all about creating positive and collaborative relationship with your blog, as we feel that will only help us both to be better and more successful. Our door is always open to you, and if there is some way in which we could partner with and support each other in the future, we would be open to that. Just drop us a comment, or e-mail us at whatsdoingtampabay @gmail.com.
