I spend a great deal of time compiling information on kid-friendly, family events happening around the Bay area. I take this site very seriously. I am very proud of it, and I love it that YOU love it! It makes me feel great when I see Mom’s groups using the information on our blog to get together with friends for fun times, and I love to hear from a Mom or Dad who says they can’t make it through a weekend without consulting my site to see what’s happening. I wish you all many happy memories with your kids!
That said, there is a line between using the information I provide, and plagiarizing my site.
A lot of hard work and time goes into creating the content of this blog. Please be thoughtful of my time and effort. Before you copy my posts into your own blog or site, please consider the following:
We respectfully request that you …
— DO enjoy my site, but please refrain from republishing entire posts or pages unless you get my permission first. (I’m not unreasonable Moms, and I realize that I am merely re-packaging public information. Most likely, we can reach an agreement for use that is mutually beneficial to us both, so please ask. It’s only polite.)
— DO take the time to come up with your own pictures, rather than republishing my personal pictures. This is my site, and sometimes I share photos of my own family at events around town with my readers. I ask that you do not copy these photos into your site.
— DO take the time to remove the notes and disclaimers that I’ve added due to personal concerns I wanted to share with my readers about a particular event. If you feel a note is required, please take the time to pen it in your own words.
— DO include a kudos to What’s Doing? Tampa Bay when you get an event from me, and provide a link back to my site … EVERY TIME.
To fellow Mom-bloggers: I am all about creating positive and collaborative relationship with your blog, as I feel that will only help us both to be better and more successful. My door is always open to you, and if there is some way in which we could partner with and support each other in the future, I would be open to that. Just drop me a comment, or e-mail me at whatsdoingtampabay @gmail.com.
