What’s Doing?
This event take place four times each year. Children up to age 14 will be provided fishing poles and bait to fish with. Plus, there will also be FREE children books!

Whether or not you’re competitive about fishing, this promises to be a fun day for both kids and parents. However, prizes will be award for:
— 1st catch
— Most fish
— Smallest fish
— 1st, 2nd and 3rd largest fish

What’s Doing?
For those with older kids, you may be interested to know that Fox is celebrating their new comedy New Girl with their True American Summer Bus Tour. Stop by the bus to party like a “True American,” watch exclusive videos, and receive a grab bag of cool New Girl gifts, including a pair of Jess’ signature glasses.

For those with younger kids, you can still score your freebies before heading into Westfield Brandon for some play time in the play space, and the WFamily Playhouse (near Sears) offers seating, kids TV programming, nursing stations and a family restroom.

Stop by The Pier for a Beach Party featuring performances by The Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team on the north side of The Pier at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. There will also be beach music provided by Jonny Reno’s (12-6 p.m.), and DJ Rob Morey (6-10 p.m.) will spin favorite tunes from the Beach Party era.

Even Better! FREE beach balls and crazy sunglasses will be available in the late afternoon.

FREE Summer Meals for Kids & Teens in Hillsborough County FLWhat’s the Freebie?
Through the Summer Break Spot, Florida children age 18 and younger can get FREE, healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks all summer long! Find a participating location near you!

How it Works:
An “open” site offers FREE meals to all children — age 18 and younger — in the community. An “enrolled” site, where children are enrolled in a summer program, is only open to those children enrolled in the program. Most sites serve a maximum of two meals per day, or a meal and a snack.

Any child age 0-18 is eligible to eat meals at “open” sites. Just bring your child to a site and put their name on the list; the child can come every day the site is open. There will also be food available to accommodate a baby (baby food or formula). All food must be eaten on site, but there is no eligibility requirement besides showing up during meal times.
