If your kids are anything like ours, they love to make crafts. You would be amazed by how many cool opportunities their are for your kids to make crafts each month. Just take a look at what’s going on around the Bay area in May!

What’s Doing?
Children can discover the creative world of Dali every day in the Education Classroom with stories, puzzles and activities that both educate and encourage family interaction. There will be a story hour every Tuesday through Thursday at 11:15 a.m., featuring selected books from the Dali Museum Library and store. Activities and puzzles are available through 5:30 p.m. weekdays. And on Saturdays, Dillydally with Dali features games, puzzles and unique craft activities during their weekly Arts & Crafts for Families event.

Kid’s Workshop at Home Depot
Time: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2013 (This event takes place on the first Saturday of every month)

What’s Doing?
If it’s your child’s first time at a Home Depot Kid’s Workshop, they will receive a FREE orange Home Depot apron to wear, keep and bring back each time they attend. Upon completing the project, they will receive an achievement pin to add to their apron and a certificate of completion. (NOTE: Home Depot crafts are unfinished when you complete them at the store. Some Home Depot stores may offer paint to decorate your project during the craft event. According to the event description for May, paint should be provided, but this may vary by location.)

— May 4: Build an herb planter and decorate it with EPIC stickers, courtesy of Energy Star. EPIC is scheduled to open in theaters beginning May 24, 2013. Kids will also receive an EPIC activity sheet.

— June 1: Kids can build a Lawn Mower Pencil Holder for Father’s Day.
— July 6: This month there will be a surprise craft from Home Depot and Despicable Me 2, from Universal Studios. The film will open in theaters starting July 3, 2013.

If it’s your child’s first time at a Home Depot Kid’s Workshop, they will receive a FREE orange Home Depot apron to wear, keep and bring back each time they attend. Upon completing the project, they will receive an achievement pin to add to their apron and a certificate of completion. (NOTE: Home Depot crafts are unfinished when you complete them at the store. Some Home Depot stores may offer paint to decorate your project during the craft event. According to the event description for April, paint should be provided, but this may vary by location.)

Saturday, April 6: Build a Bird Feeder (Paint will be provided at the workshop for children to personalize their bird feeder craft.)

Asterik Chick-fil-A Tyrone Blvd. will be making a special visit to the Home Depot at 2070 Tyrone Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. Between 10-10:30 a.m., Home Depot guests can meet the Chick-fil-A Cow and score some tasty giveaways.

— May 4: Build an herb planter and decorate it with EPIC stickers, courtesy of Energy Star. EPIC,from Twentieth Century Fox, will open in theaters starting May 24, 2013. Kids will also receive an EPIC activity sheet.
