What’s Doing?
WestShore Plaza will be the place for little princesses and princes to hang out this weekend as the mall kicks-off their new kids club – connect!kids.

You and your children are invited to the Disney On Ice Rockin’ Ever After event at WestShore Plaza on May 11. Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney princess, prince or pirate for a magical parade through WestShore Plaza to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Children will get to decorate wands and eye patches for the princess and pirate walk. There will be a balloon twister and games with Radio Disney and WQYK. Plus, you’ll have a chance to win one of 50 family four-packs to Disney on Ice!

Ben & Jerry’s Truck Will Be “Playin’ in the Park” with Fit Kids Playground

What’s Doing?
On the first Tuesday of each month — through August — bring the kids to Fit Kids Playground to unplug during an afternoon filled with healthy, outdoor, family fun. There is so much to do! The Rays Street Team and Tampa Bay Lightning will be on-site, Whole Foods Market will have a healthy snack for the kids, and sponsor booths (including Tampa Bay Moms Blog!) will offer fun activities and giveaways. Try out a new sport, play on the playground, and splash in the fountains as you enjoy a day of Playin’ in the Park.

Ben & Jerry's TruckEven Better! According to the Fit Kids event coordinator, it has been confirmed that the Ben & Jerry’s Truck will also be at the event this month giving away cups of their new Greek-stlye frozen yogurt!

Also Happening …
During this month’s Fit Kids program, families can enjoy all the interactive exhibits inside Glazer Children’s Museum (2-7 p.m.) for FREE!

What’s Doing?
You are invited to SPCA’s 12-hour Paw-jama Party and Pet Adoption event. Bring the whole family for fun throughout the day and night including a pet psychic and doggie kissing booth, and register to win a Disney On Ice 4-Pack. Puppies, kittens, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and more will be available for adoption. Here’s the schedule of activities:
— 12-3 p.m.: Children’s games, bounce house and cat & critter care demos
— 3-6 p.m.: Radio Disney stage show, food (hot dogs, Sno-cones, cotton candy, baked goods will be available), contests and prizes, goofy pet contest, adoptable pet parade and photo booth (receive a FREE digital photo)
— 8-10 p.m.: SPCA After Dark Trivia Contest and Slipper Soiree Contest (wear slippers; no entry fee required to participate) NOTE: beer and wine will be sold
— 10 p.m.-12 a.m.: Movie under the stars and deep discounts and giveaways at the Gift Shop

Plan on a memorable night camping out with the kids and other families. Hike the nature trails in the dark, roast marshmallows and tell spooky stories at the campfire. Just bring your tent and camping gear. Both dinner and breakfast will be provided.

The Florida Aquarium is partnering with C.A.R.D. USF to host this event for local families with sensory disabilities like Autism. This morning is an opportunity to experience the Aquarium in a way that is geared especially for families with sensory disabilities, and will include special activities and animal interactions.

Even Better! Although this event ends at 9:30 a.m., guests will be welcome to stay and continue to enjoy the Aquarium throughout the day.

Here’s how your child can enter:
— Kids are asked to draw a picture of themselves with their mommy and tell Massage Heights why their mommy is the BEST mommy in the world
