What’s Doing?
Come learn about the Florida Pioneer Man, how he built his house, made his furniture, plowed his fields, harvested his crops, and created his leather-work and blacksmithing. The Florida Pioneer Village includes the restored Overstreet House, Old Lacoochee School, Enterprise Church, J.L. Bromley Shoe Repair, Mabel Jordan Barn, C.C. Smith General Store, Blanton Packing House, Cane Syrup Mill, the Trilby depot, a train engine, and the main Museum building. Explore these building and learn about farm life and hobbies during the festival, which will feature:
— Cane grinding and syrup making
— Traditional craft demonstrations
— Children’s activities
— Antique farm equipment exhibit
— Arts & crafts show
— Quilts
— Southern draft horse pulling competition (Sat. only at 10 a.m.)
