What’s Doing?
Titled “Hillsborough River Raid,” this American Civil War (1861-65) living history event will focus on the military with Union and Confederate troops. The event will feature:
— Uniforms
— Arms of the era
— Military music
— Infantry and artillery drills
— A skirmish between the Blue and the Gray complete with cannon, rifle and pistol fire (2:30 p.m.)
Get the kids excited about our American history! Bring your camera, visit the camps and talk to the men about their equipment, visit the on-site museum, and ask questions. Some reenactors will be available to talk about the original raid.
