What’s Doing?
The Whatadog Play Center and the American Kennel Club (AKC) are hosting this “Responsible Dog Ownership Day” as part of a nationwide effort to support adoption, active lifestyles and responsible pet ownership. Tour the facility and meet other families with dogs. Several animal rescue groups will be at the event with dogs available for adoption following an application process, and throughout the event you will find many resources to help you and your pet lead a healthier lifestyle, including:
— Doga (dog and handler yoga)
— Low-cost microchipping
— Pet portraits
— Low-cost vaccinations
— Dog sport demonstrations
— Giveaways
— Food samples (provided by vendors)
Plus, if your dog just needs a bath, nail trim or teeth brushed, donations will be accepted for these services, which will go to attending animal charities.
Even Better! Whatadog has partnered with Disney Pictures to promote their upcoming film, Frankenweenie. The first 25 attendees at this event will be given a FREE admit-2 pass to a special screening at Regal Citrus Park Cinemas before the film hits theaters. (Limit 2 per household.)
