National Night Out is celebrated each year with the intention of:
— Heightening crime and drug prevention awareness;
— Generating support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
— Strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;
— Sending a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Join Clearwater Police for National Night Out Against Crime

What’s Doing?
The Clearwater Police Department invites the community to participate in an evening of safety awareness during the 29th Annual National Night Out Against Crime. Officers will be on hand to talk about safety and crime prevention and address any of your questions. Citizens will have an opportunity to “walk in a police officer’s shoes” with a special interactive traffic stop demonstration. You will see first-hand some of the challenges and dangers police officers face every day. Other demonstrations, displays and services will include:
— SWAT
— The Emergency Response Team (ERT)
— The Mounted Patrol
— FREE document shredding
— Child safety seats checks
— Bicycle safety inspections
