This is the promise Convenient Cleaners co-founders Chris Whitney and Ryan Reynolds make on their website. Convenient Cleaners, a locally-owned dry cleaner, will open its first location on September 3, 2012 in South Tampa at the old Farm Store location. A grand opening event will take place later in September, and we will pass that information along to you as soon as we have it. In the meantime, they have a special offer for you as they open their doors to the community.

Locally-Owned
Co-founders Chris Whitney and Ryan Reynolds both grew up here in Tampa. Whitney attended Jesuit when they won the State Baseball Championship. He went on to the University of Tampa and was a pitcher on its a championship team in 2006. Ryan attended high school at Berkeley Preparatory School and went on to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Florida, returning to Tampa after graduation. They met when they were teenagers. This is their first joint venture.
Keeping Busy Parents In Mind
The Farm Store location was selected for Convenient Cleaners because Ryan and Whitney saw a need for a dry cleaner in this area of Tampa. Plus, it puts the business close to five schools, making it convenient for parents to do their dry cleaning pick up/drop off before or after school drop off/pick up. However, knowing the Farm Store building as an iconic landmark for South Tampa locals, Whitney and Ryan strove to retained as much of the original structure as possible in the conversion. In addition to their main location, Convenient Cleaners will also offer storefront drop boxes and free standing drop boxes, which will be available for 24 hour drop off:
— Sun Trust Financial Centre Storefront Drop Box (downtown Tampa)
— Urban Centre Storefront Drop Box (corner of Westshore and Kennedy)
— Fifth Third Center in downtown Tampa (drop box located in back of lobby near delivery entrance)
— Visconti Apartments at International Plaza (drop box located in mail box area)
— M&I Bank Plaza in downtown Tampa (drop box located in mail room by UPS and FedEx)
But if dropping off and picking up isn’t convenient for you, FREE home and office pick-up and delivery is also available.
Community-Oriented and Environmentally Conscious
In addition to having been raised in Tampa, The co-founders share something — both are very community-oriented and environmentally conscious. As a result, their first joint venture reflects this by incorporating many “green” features that help to reduce their environmental footprint on the community:
— Landscaping uses Zero-Drought tolerant plants and recyclable concrete
— The parking area is made from recycled asphalt
— They will incorporate paperless billing (rather than using paper receipts, receipts will be e-mailed to your computer or smartphone)
Giving Back … Globally
Convenient Cleaners has partnered with Generosity Water, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the clean-water crisis in developing countries by builds water wells. Did you know that every year, 3.6 million people die from lack of clean water? With every dry cleaning order, a donation will be made to Generosity Water. For every one bag of dry cleaning ($25 average), you can give one person access to clean water for one year.
Serving Drive-Thru Coffee, Too!
Another thing Whitney and Ryan noticed was lacking around this South Tampa location: a nearby premium coffee service or drive-thru. To fill this gap, Convenient Cleaners also offers a premium coffee service, brewing the premium brand Buddy Brew Coffee (also a Tampa based company). So, even if dry cleaning isn’t on your to-do list today, stop by for coffee!
