What’s the Freebie?
Did you know that any student entering a Florida school for the first time in grades kindergarten through 12th is eligible to receive a FREE school physical? Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and you must have your child’s immunization record to receive FREE immunizations. NOTE: There will be NO sports, Head Start or day care physicals available.
These clinics are hosted by the Back-to-School Coalition of Hillsborough County, which includes Hillsborough County’s Family & Aging Services Department, Hillsborough County Public Schools, the Hillsborough County Health Department, local hospitals, social service organizations, and local health care organizations.
Please be aware that some locations require appointments, while others take walk-ins only. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (813) 443-3048. Here’s the schedule:
— Saturday, August 4: Ed and Myrtle Lou Swindle Medical Arts Center (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) — Appointments required
— Saturday, August 4: Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) — Appointments required
— Saturday, August 11: Blake High school Project LINK/St. Joseph’s Hospital (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) — Appointments recommended; walk-ins are limited
— Saturday, August 11: Tampa General Hospital at Healthpark (8-11 a.m.) — Walk-ins only
— Saturday, August 11: SouthShore Community Resource Center (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) — Appointments required
— Saturday, August 18: University Area Community Health Center (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) — Walk-ins only
