Gather the family and head over to Dunedin, FL for a fun, old-fashioned town festival. There’s sure to be something for everyone in the family to enjoy:
— Green market (8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Pioneer Park)
— “Orange Stroll-About” walking parade
— Dunk tank
— New Fun Zone (10 a.m.-4 p.m.; $3/child fee)
— New Chill Zone ($5 entry fee)
— Florida Orange Juice samples, courtesy of Indian River
— Mojo Cook-off (11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; Sample Mojo Pork dishes and vote on your favorite dish; Tasting ticket: $10)
— Crowning of “Miss Dunedin Orange Queen” (10:30 a.m.)
— Live entertainment on stage all day: City Pipe and Drum Band, Shiloh Baptist Church Gospel Choir, and other young local entertainers
— Dunedin Orange Bonnet Silent Auction: bid on your favorite “Bonnet” designed and made by Downtown Merchants (Proceeds will benefit the Dunedin Historical Museum)
Even Better! Kids ages 2-10 are invited to meet at the fun zone at 9:30 a.m. for the Orange Hunt. Throughout the park, specially marked oranges will be hiding … and some of them will be worth fun prizes! Return to the fun zone at 10:15 a.m. with your oranges to redeem your prizes. Two of the oranges will score their finder a $25 Toys “R” Us gift card.
