What’s Doing?
The public is invited to enjoy FREE Blue Bell Ice Cream, music and a bit of nostalgia in celebration of the “Journey Stories” Smithsonian exhibition at Plant City Photo Archives & History Center (PCPA). Blue Bell Ice Cream is hosting this old fashioned ice cream social. You will feel like you are back in the 1940s, listening to the vocal harmonies of a barbershop quartet while cooling off with the good, old-fashioned taste of Blue Bell Ice Cream.
Before or after enjoying some ice cream, visitors can tour the “Journey Stories” exhibit, which chronicles American history from colonial immigration to westward expansion to more modern city life. See photos and historical artifacts, and hear first-hand accounts from travelers.
The exhibit is will remain open through July 7. PCPA hours are Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
