The City of Largo and Largo Recreation, Parks & Arts Department welcomes the community to the groundbreaking ceremony of the new state-of-the-art Highland Recreation Complex. The 40,000-square-foot facility will feature an indoor running track, 3-story indoor playground, ExerPlay! Room (digital/interactive fitness games), and more. The building was designed by Tampa architects Gould Evans and is being built by Creative Contractors of Clearwater. (Visit the City of Largo’s Facebook Page to see more renderings of the 3-story Indoor Playground.)

Check out the design plans, which will be on display at the groundbreaking ceremony, and staff will be on-site to answer questions you may have about the new facility. Light refreshments will be served.

The current Highland Recreation Complex and Highland Family Aquatic Center will remain open to the public during construction. The completion of the new Highland Recreation Complex is set for May, 2013.
