What’s Doing?
Teens Behind the Scenes is a new program that gives teens an exclusive look at the inner workings of Pinellas County government. Each month kids visit a new location to learn about a different area of county government. This program is open to all high school students ages 14 years old and older.
Session Schedule
** NOTE: The January 25 session has already passed **
— February 22: Law & Order: Investigate the roles of law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, and the judge.
— March 21: Most Wanted! Tour the Pinellas County Jail to learn about intake, maximum security, and direct supervision. (NOTE: A parental release is required to participate.)
— April 18: 9-1-1 101: Get an up-close look at the Pinellas County Emergency Medical System and participate in a demonstration.
Awards Night
On the evening of April 24, teens will have the opportunity to appear on television with county commissioners as they present the teens with a “Teens Behind the Scene” completion certificate.
Pinellas County Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)
