What’s Doing?
Moms and Dads, bring the kids out for a fun day at the pool, and have a blast learning about water safety at the H2O Expo, sponsored by All Children’s Hospital, Florida Safe Pools.org and the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg. When I spoke with Jean from All Children’s this morning, she said they are all getting very excited for this event and are busy working on last-minute details. It should be a lot of fun!

Event activities include:
– In-pool child swim evaluations for kids 2 year and up by Certified Swim Instructors
– Fun water fitness activities for teens
– Refreshments (Hot Dogs grilled by USFSP BBQ Club)
– Healthy cooking demos for dids
– FSPA Pool Vendors
– Prizes
– Water games for kids of all ages (2 years – Adult)
– Resources and guidance for water safety or swimming lessons

A number of organizations will be involved, including St. Pete Fire and Rescue, Pinellas County Health Department, All Children’s Fit4Allkids, USGS, FMRI, ParentGuide Magazine. And adding to the festivities will be a special appearance by Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer Brooke Bennett!
