Take a ride on the Central Pasco & Gulf (CP&G), a 7-1/2″ gauge railroad being constructed within Pasco County’s Crews Lake Wilderness Park. The railroad is based upon the Orange Belt Railway, which ran from Sanford to St. Petersburg through Pasco County. The major towns on the CP&G are named for stops/stations on its route. Currently train rides take about 20 – 25 minutes round trip.
Celebrate With a Train-themed Birthday Party
Birthday Trains are available Saturdays except for Public Run days, which are the second Saturday of every month. Birthday packages include:
- Use of shelter for 4 hours
- Exclusive use of 1 train for 2 hours with a certified engineer and certified conductor
Trains will carry 25 people (adults and children) at one time. As for shelters for the party, Shelter #2 accommodates 35-100 people, and the Train Station Picnic Area can accommodate 35 people or fewer. To reserve your party space, you will need to print and complete an application. Parties can be held from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-5 p.m., and you can check to see what dates/times are still available within the month.
