What’s Doing?
Color Me Mine painting studio is having their popular Painting Party With Santa Claus in the studio. It’s a party your children won’t want to miss. Event activities include:
* Santa will read ’twas the Night Before Christmas and then visit with each child.
* Each child paints a “Cookies for Santa” hand print cookie plate and an ornament. Staff will help each child put their hand print and name on their plate.
* Refreshments are included for the children as well as their accompanying adult.
** NOTE: There will not be formal pictures because as soon as Santa leaves the studio, he will be going to his Hyde Park “workshop” where a professional photographer will be taking photos. The workshop is three doors down from Color Me Mine. **

Not familiar with Color Me Mine? Color Me Mine is a paint-it-yourself pottery studio. They have hundreds of pieces of pottery waiting to be painted. You paint it and then leave it. They glaze and fire it, and you get it back in 5 to 7 days. You do not need to have the least bit of artistic talent to enjoy yourself.
Bringing the little one? There are things at Color Me Mine to amuse children of all ages, including infants. You can paint your baby’s feet, or your children’s hands on a platter, or a coffee mug. Even the youngest child likes to play with brushes, sponges and paints. Finger painting on pieces and the table paper (but not on employees) is allowed and encouraged. They also have crayons for kids to use on the table paper if they prefer. The paints rinse off the kids and their clothes with water. Don’t forget, preschoolers love to make presents for Mom, Dad and their Grandparents, too. Even a handprint with a “I Love You” is a keepsake item.
